Day 2

Day 2 - Tuesday 8th March

Tuesday morning and we were wide awake... early! Miss Heckford and Mrs Smy were very pleased to announce the winner of the quietest room. Louis, Ellis, Dylan and Ethan were fantastic and received brilliant scores in their first inspection! At 8 o'clock Mrs Smy instructed all rooms to wrap up warm for the day ahead (layers were suggested)! Ellis took on board the advice, deciding to put on four layers of trousers. He definitely wasn't cold today...

We would also like to announce that Dylan needs his own personal recycle bin as he keeps finding sneaky notes from mum in various items of clothing... At the moment we have identified a range of areas: socks, gloves, wash bags, slippers and a camera case although we are waiting on a note in some pants...

After a fantastic cooked breakfast we went outside for our first two activities of the day. Shelter building and another team building activity. From the photographs (see below) I'm sure you'll agree that our shelters looked very secure and waterproof, although we did test them to find out. Miss Rolfe was extremely impressed with all children as they made very secure structures. James, Jess Finn, Kacey-Mai, George and Jessica Murrell showed brilliant team work during the activities.

After lunch we went down to the beach for our afternoon activity. We searched the beach for a range of creatures to put in our home made rock pools. While we waited for the water to settle and the creatures to appear we created some art sculptures!

We have had a fun filled day and are excited for tomorrow!
