To conclude our Polar Express topic, Oak class went on a magical trip to the Mid Hants Railway in Arlesford. On arrival the children were given a ticket for the Polar Express. Tickets were clipped by the conductor before they boarded the train to write a postcard to Father Christmas. After the cards were posted in the Victorian post box, children searched the station for clues to find their own silver bell. With their bells ringing the children returned to the train where they met Father Christmas. The train driver then invited the children onto the foot plate to see the roaring fire. Finally we waved the train off through a puff of billowing steam!
