St Lawrence CE Primary School - Pupil Premium news - January 2015

St Lawrence has received a letter from the Rt. Hon. David Laws MP (Minister of State for Schools) congratulating us on our success at supporting  disadvantaged children. This was identified through analysis of our year on year at Key Stage 2 results. We subsequently  invited to the Bishop's palace in Winchester to receive a certificate commending us on our achievement.

".....your results show that you have improved in terms of the progress and attainment achieved by your disadvantaged pupils since 2011, and that you are highly effective in educating your disadvantaged pupils. It is clear that you and your staff have provided your disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life and prepared them well for secondary schools...."

Subsequently the Bishop of Winchester invited some representatives of the school to the Bishop's Palace to receive a certificate of recognition

We are very proud to be acknowledged for our teaching and support in this way.  Thank you to all our staff, governing body, parents and children who help to make St Lawrence the success it is.
