Another busy day here at Stubbington and we got off to a good start with improved inspection scores. After we took on the role of an earthquake rescue team and set off in haste to save those in need. We had to carry lots of equipment to help us on our mission, even a rescue dog. There were many obstacles to overcome but we used teamwork to help each other.
After lunch, we looked for evidence of wildlife in the conservation area. This is only some of what we found: mouse droppings, badger setts, snuffle holes, and scratches. Then we created our luxury five-star mammal hotels making sure they had food, water and bedding. We chose a suitable location for our hotels in Badger Bog. Fingers crossed we’ll have a few visitors tomorrow!
Tonight, we had the excitement of going to the hide and we were very lucky to see two foxes and a very hungry badger.
We asked the children what has been their best bit so far:
“I’ve loved everything!” Charlie
“I liked the shelter building and the hide,” Liam
“I’m looking forward to finding out what is in our mammal hotel,” Sophie
