School Uniform

We believe that school uniform helps to achieve a sense of belonging and identity.  It is important for children to look smart and take pride in their appearance.

Our uniform consists of:

• grey trousers, skirt or pinafore dress (unbranded)
• white shirt or polo shirt (unbranded)
• white, grey or black socks
• grey or black tights
• maroon sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo (St Lawrence branded)
• Black shoes. For safety it is important that children wear sensible shoes for school with low heels: a good indication of suitability is whether or not they are comfortable for running in. (unbranded)
• In the summer, children have the added option of wearing tailored shorts or red and white gingham dresses/playsuits (unbranded)
• All children should bring a small bottle of water to be kept in the classroom.
• Long hair should be tied back
• Small stud earrings are the only jewellery to be work to school
• School fleeces may be worn as a coat at playtimes
• No nail varnish

PE kit should be worn to school on PE days:

• black shorts
• polo shirt in house colour with school logo (St Lawrence branded) or plain t shirt in house colour (unbranded)
• In winter, plain black leggings/jogging bottoms
• plain black hoodie (unbranded) or a school jumper
• trainers
• Hair should be tied back
• Small stud earrings should be taken out for PE or tape supplied to cover them

ALL clothing needs to be marked with your child’s name.

We attempt to return all lost and unmarked items. Any unclaimed possessions/belongings are put on display at the end of term. 

Where to purchase uniform:

• Uniform can be obtained from the PTA Pre-loved uniform collection.
• Branded uniform can be purchased from the school office or via Skoolkit.
• Unbranded items can be bought more widely from high street or supermarket retailers.
