Year 6 Maths Challenge
Alton College Mathematics Challenge
Last Thursday, students from various primary and secondary schools attended an inter-school maths challenge at Alton College. Some of our Year 6 pupils took part in the competition. Firstly, we competed as a St Lawrence team completing 10 horrifically hard challenges in just 40 minutes, then we joined up with some students from Amery to solve some even harder equations in a back and forth, quick-fire collaboration.
It was a mental struggle but we worked really well as a team, learnt lots and had a great time exploring further into the mathematical world.
